Earlybird tickets at £16 until 30 June 2019.

We will be staging the highly-acclaimed and powerful Israeli theatre production ‘Knock Knock,’ the story of an IDF soldier’s mother. Described by critics as the “crème de la crème of the Edinburgh Festival,” and “an immensely moving piece of theatre”, we are thrilled that the show is coming to Ner Yisrael. This play is the perfect prelude to Peace of Mind and is being staged a week before our soldiers will be arriving.

Take a look at for a trailer and more information.

We have been advised that the show is only appropriate for youth age 12+.

KNOCK KNOCK describes what it’s like to be a parent in the shadow of armed conflict. The play follows the journey of Ilana, a single mother whose job as an Israeli Officer of Casualty Notifications is to knock on the door of families whose sons or daughters have been lost in war. Her conflict between motherhood and duty as citizen reaches a deafening climax when her only son chooses to serve on the front line of battle. This heartful story, played entirely by Niv Petel, evokes an emotionally rich narrative describing the internal conflict among families when they are faced with the call for war.

After the performance there will be a Q and A with Niv.

Tea, coffee and cake will be served and a raffle with amazing prizes including a Smart Watch, Kaifeng meal for 2 and cinema vouchers.

Raffle tickets will be available from the Shul Office. All proceeds will go to POM.
