MATANOT LE'EVYONIM

Families both within the shul and local communities continue to experience serious financial difficulties.

Our Purim collection raises funds to assist these families to purchase food, meet household expenses, pay heating and electricity bills, and fund the additional costs of making Pesach.

PURIM TIMINGS

Shabbat, 8 March, Parashat Zachor

In all minyanim and

Directly after main minyan in the Shul - approx. 11.30am.  

Directly after childrens’ services in the Horowitz BH (middle floor) – approx. 11.40am.

12.30pm before early mincha (YABH)

5.20pm before afternoon Mincha (main Shul).

 

TA’ANIT ESTHER, Thursday, 13 March

Fast begins – 4.41am

Shacharit - 6.30am (Shul)/7.15am (SYBH)

Mincha & Maariv – 5.20pm

Fast ends followed by Maariv & Megilla – 6.42pm

Megilla only - 9.00pm

 

PURIM, Friday, 14 March

Shacharit/Megilla – 6.30am (Shul)/8.00am (Shul)

Megilla only – 10.00am

Mincha & Kabbalat Shabbat – 5.49pm

Purim/Pre-Pesach Collection 2025

OUR TARGET IS TO RAISE £20,000

WE ARE TOTALLY DEPENDENT ON YOUR GENEROSITY AND SUPPORT TO ACHIEVE THIS

  • Pre-Pesach Collection: Funds raised will go to help families meet living expenses and the additional costs of making Pesach. A proportion of funds raised will also be distributed on Purim as Matanot L’evyonim.
  • Achisomoch online: You can donate to either or both appeals via your online Achisomoch account. Please include a note stating how your donation should be directed. For Matanot L’evyonim please ensure your donation is made before Purim.

You can also donate to the Ner Yisrael Gemach at any time via:

Gift Aid: We encourage UK taxpayers to Gift Aid their donations to the Ner Yisrael Gemach. This can be done directly via the Ner Yisrael Gemach CAF Donate website when making a donation, or by downloading and completing this Gift Aid form, and returning it to Louise in the shul office by email or hard copy.
